Former Master of the Plaisterers, Alan Turner, presents a bursary cheque to The Very Revd Dr John Moses, Dean of St Paul's. The Plaisterers' Bursary was established in 2001 following their Quincentenary Appeal and is aimed at assisting the education of a boy who might not otherwise be able to enjoy the privilege of attending St Paul's Cathedral choir school.
The Plaisterers’ 2005-2006 bursary for a chorister at St Paul’s was awarded to Oliver Jackson, aged 12 in Dec 2005. In his letter of thanks to the Master, Oliver explained that he was in his seventh year at St Paul’s and really enjoyed the honour of wearing the Plaisterers’ medallion at services in the Cathedral – “I find the medal really great as it’s the only one in the choir with colour on it and the only oval one, which is good, seeing as I like to be different”. Not only is Oliver a talented musician but he also likes science and maths and feels his future will be something along those lines.

The St Paul's Cathedral School Foundation was established in 1984 by the then Lord Mayor of the City of London, Sir Alan Traill.
The Dean & Chapter provide generous scholarships to the choristers, paying all their school tuition fees. The Foundation exists to bridge the gap should parents be unable to afford boarding and other expenses. The Foundation was the first educational charity to have been established in the City of London for over 50 years and has contined to be able to provide substantial sums to support choristers, ensuring that no boy be denied his opportunity whatever his family's financial situation.
A regular fund-raising concert for the Foundation is held in St Paul's Cathedral.
The 2007 concert was held on 7 February 2007 and featured the choristers singing Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols and Missa Brevis; the second half of the concert was performed by a choir of former choristers conducted Jeremy Jackson, himself a former chorister, with a reportoire that started with Thomas Tallis and ended with 'The Mermaid'.
The 2005 concert held on 11 October 2005 featured an anniversary performance of Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Requiem.
